The lights are on. The grid is live.

SolidarityGrid is a newspaper — not a feed, not a forum, not a brand. It publishes dispatches about the working world, the institutions we share, and the slow, stubborn work of making them answerable to the people they serve. And it holds one conviction plainly: peaceful is not passive. Collective flourishing is not a mood. It is infrastructure, built by people who show up.

What you will find here

Dispatches are our main instrument. They are written slowly and checked carefully, with sources at the bottom of every page, the way a ledger should be. Some are analyses of contracts and votes. Some are essays about the commons. Some are histories of the moments when ordinary people, organized, changed the weather.

The Tracker is the second instrument — a running ledger of collective action: strikes, union votes, mutual aid funds, policy fights, and the wins. Every entry carries an impact line, because a movement without a ledger is a rumor, and a ledger without numbers is a mood board.

The Floor is the third. Comments at the Grid are accountless by design: pick a name, say your piece, and it appears under a small tripcode that proves a human typed it. No profiles, no karma farming, no algorithm deciding which of your neighbors you get to argue with.

Three promises

No paywall. A newspaper that charges its working-class readers to hear their own news is a theater with velvet ropes. The Grid is free, and it stays free.

No ads, no trackers, no data harvesting. We keep almost nothing about you — a hashed comment fingerprint to stop spam, and that is the list. Read the privacy page if you want the exact words; they are short.

No drift. We will not "pivot to engagement," we will not soften the position for advertisers, and we will not trade the movement's credibility for speed. When we get something wrong, we correct it in daylight, with the date on the correction.

What this is about

SolidarityGrid champions democratic socialism: common ownership of the infrastructure that makes life possible — the grid of power, water, transit, bread — governed by the people who depend on it. Labor power is the main engine. Public infrastructure is the main product. And the whole project aims at a world where abundance is shared, where scarcity is manufactured by choice, and where the word solidarity means something you can point to: a fund, a contract, a bridge, a table set for more than one.

The birds are already flying. We are just putting up the map.
